Updates To Do

Described here are the main changes made to the two HTML files that should be replicated in the other site HTML files once the asset updates in the supplied archive have been incorporated.

This page does not include all instances of the changes, but shows each type of change at least once.

  • Google font-serving removed. (Font is now served directly and loaded from stylesheet.)
  • Internet Explorer console log fix removed. (It aided debugging in IE, and so is no longer required.)
  • Stylesheet <link> tag simplified.
  • jQuery and plugins removed.
  • <script> tag simplified, pointing to new, plain JavaScript file.

Note that relative paths will change depending on the directory in which the HTML file is located. Applied to all links throughout pages, including main content and footer, which was aided by searching for www.rsync.net.
  • <nav> tag’s malformed and unused class attribute removed.

  • Markup with unclosed paragraphs (<p> tags missing their closing </p> tags) fixed.
  • Vertical space control: paragraphs containing non-breaking space entities (&nbsp;) replaced with line breaks <br/>, which seem easier to work with.
  • “Fake” lists, made of paragraphs containing the dash character, replaced with real lists, with a class of bullet for the bullet points to show. Enables correct indentation when a list item runs into two or more lines.
